Canaries are the most widely distributed bird in the world.
They have been critically endangered for more than 30 years.
They’re found in all of the world’s continents, but in Asia, they’re most abundant.
They live in tropical forests and lowlands, and have been the subject of the National Geographic Channel series Canaries, Canaries and Pigeons.
It’s a fascinating look at the importance of wildlife for our species.
